The Love Song of the Ages is a devotional commentary on the Song of Solomon which reveals the Lord’s extravagant love for His bride – you!  Jesus often used parables, or short stories drawn from everyday life, to reveal spiritual truth to His disciples.  This devotional study of the Song of Solomon examines  it as an allegory, or extended parable, illustrating the believer’s progression in developing an intimate relationship with Jesus or what the scripture calls ” abiding in Him.”

For most of us, when we read, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life,” the words lodge in our minds, but don’t always connect with our hearts.  Or, we may believe God loves  the world, but find it hard to believe that He loves us personally and individually.  The apostle Paul understood that believing facts in our minds  (mental assent) does not produce faith in our hearts.  He wrote, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened…” and “…with the heart [man] believes…” (Eph. 1:18; Rom. 10:10).

Stories have the power to bypass our minds and speak to our hearts!  When understood as an allegory, the Song of Solomon is a powerful love story that will help us see with the eyes of our hearts.  As we identify with the main character, the maiden, the Song will enable us to see ourselves, personally and individually, as Jesus’s beloved – His precious bride.  The great desire in the heart of God is that the love story of the Song of Solomon would reveal to our hearts the  breadth, length, height, and depth of His amazing love for us!

  1. I just now listened to Stacie speak about her new book on the Harvest Show on TV. My heart was deeply blessed by hearing her speak. I, too, have been one who loves The Song Of Solmon. In these lady days, The Lord is calling out those who are lovers of our beloved Savior – who is coming to receive His bride very, very soon! Praise Him! I am going to order ‘The Love Song Of The Ages’ today. Bless you, Stacie, for writing the book. Gail Michael, West Lafayette, Indiana

    1. Thank you so much Gail! I didn’t really get a chance to share some of my favorite verses and explain the symbolism, so I will do that on a separate entry now. His Richest Blessings to you!
